Biography
Originating from Groningen, the Netherlands, Savage is a Death Metal war machine forged in the filth of the late ’80s underground. Founded by Michel Jonker (formerly of Entrapment), Savage is a one-man recording project unleashed live with a full band, delivering pure old-school devastation on stage.
Drawing inspiration from pioneers such as Entombed, Nihilist, Repulsion and Master, Savage spews uncompromising Death Metal fueled by crushing riffs, filthy Swedish chainsaw guitars, and relentless aggression. Following the release of the acclaimed 2023 demo, Savage made its live debut in 2025 before Michel entered Soundlodge Studios with producer Jörg Uken to record the “Septic Tomb” mini-LP, followed by another recording session later that year to unleash even more new material.
Rooted firmly in death metal’s golden era, Savage rejects trends, polish, and gimmicks in favor of raw power and savage riffs. No bullshit. Just Death Metal.
