Biography
Formed in late ’80s Chicago by Paul Speckmann (Master) and Dean Chioles, Abomination delivered a feral blend of death and thrash metal… fast, raw, and unapologetically heavy. Their self-titled debut dropped in 1990 and quickly carved out a cult following for its no-frills approach: ripping riffs, guttural vocals, and politically charged lyrics that hit just as hard as the music.
Built on the same grit and fury that defined the early underground scene, Abomination never chased trends, they bulldozed through them. With Hammerheart Records now re-issuing their full catalog, it’s the perfect time to rediscover one of death/thrash’s most overlooked pioneers.
